ABB MCB, Type-D Tripping Characteristics, Dual Tripping Mechanism - S200 Series - S203-D6

Want to protect your electrical circuitry from hazardous power fluctuations? Put this MCB from ABB on guard duty. It keeps a lookout for abnormal loads and, when it detects one, breaks the connected circuit to prevent damage to downstream equipment. Fuseless protection means there's nothing to replace once it's tripped, and it's easy to reset by toggling the ON/OFF switch. Screw terminals make this unit a cinch to set up using a screwdriver, so there's no need to reach for specialist equipment.

Features & Benefits

• Compact dimensions of 88 (H) x 52.5 (W) x 69mm (D) maximise space in your setup

• DIN rail mounting makes installation swift and simple

• Electrical lifespan of 20,000 operating cycles delivers long-term performance

• Light weight of 375g minimises strain on your infrastructure

• Delivers dependable performance in temperatures between -25°C and +55°C

Applications

• Automation and control systems

• Commercial buildings

• HVAC systems

What do type-D tripping characteristics mean?

Type-D tripping characteristics mean that this MCB responds quickly to larger over-currents. MCBs with this tripping style are commonly used for applications with large inrush currents, such as motor control. As this one trips at 10 to 20 times its 6A rating, it's not easily tripped by lower currents.
