RS PRO Clear Passivated, Zinc Steel Clinch Nut, M4

A clinch nut is usually installed into aluminium, steel or stainless-steel sheets and can also be known as a self-clinching nut or a flush nut. These nuts are easy to use and leave a flush finish with the sheet of metal. Self-clinching nuts are installed using a parallel squeezing force so access to both sides of the panel is needed.

Self-clinching nuts should be assembled using a press tool or similar non-shock device

Unsuitable for use with sheet materials having a hardness of more than 80Rb (150VPN)

A clinch nut can be installed by being placed in a properly sized hole, then apply a parallel squeezing force to the head of the nut. After this action, the parenting material flows into the specially designed under head configuration which results in a load bearing and torque resistant joint.
