An elastomeric O-ring can be fitted to improve the ingress rating to IP68 and to alter the approved temperature window to −30°C to +100°C.

The plug is introduced into the pre-threaded hole and tightened using a screwdriver on the head to engage the PG11 thread and compress the O-ring if fitted.
