Siemens 3RF2 Series Solid State Contactor, 25A Maximum Load Current, 48 to 460V Maximum Load Voltage - 3RF2330-1DA44

This solid state contactor is a single-pole SSR designed for industrial AC switching of resistive and inductive loads within a broad voltage range. It operates from 48 to 460V AC at 50 to 60Hz and accepts a DC control signal, providing fast electronic switching with short-circuit resistance when paired with a B-type MCB. The device is intended for DIN-rail panel installations in environments requiring finger-safe front protection.

Features and Benefits:

• 25A maximum load current for medium-power switching capability
• 4…30V DC control voltage enabling low-voltage drive compatibility
• Short-circuit-resistant behaviour when used with B-automatic devices
• Surge voltage resistance 6kV protects main circuit from transients
• Operating range 40…506V accommodates line fluctuations

Applications

• Suitable for switching heating loads in industrial panels
• Ideal for motor-control circuits requiring AC-51 switching
• Used with B MCBs for short-circuit-protected installations
• Can be used for resistive load control in process systems
• Suitable for machine control on standard 35mm DIN rail

What control current is required at minimum control voltage?

The control current at the minimum recognised control voltage is 18 mA.

How does the device handle thermal derating?

The contactor is specified with a derating temperature of 40°C for current capability adjustments.

What are the Terminal connection options?

Main contacts use screw-type terminals

auxiliary and control circuits have removable screw terminals.

Which environmental limits apply during storage?

Storage temperature range is -55…+80°C.

What electromagnetic immunity ratings are specified?

It meets burst immunity 2 kV/5kHz and surge immunity up to 2 kV conductor-to-earth with defined behaviour criteria.
