XBee Embedded Wi-Fi transceiver modules are IEEE 802.11b/g/n compliant, providing wireless connectivity to an project via serial UART/SPI interfaces. Using SoftAP Provisioning mode, any Smartphone or Tablet with a web browser can connect to the XBee Wi-Fi and configure the module to connect to an existing Wi-Fi network. The XBee Wi-Fi module shares a common footprint with other XBee modules.This allows different XBee technologies to be drop-in replacements for each other; developers can switch from IEEE 802.11 standard to IEEE 802.15.4 for example.
