This power cord is terminated on one end with an IEC C13 type connector that connects to the appliance. The other end of this power lead is unterminated and can be terminated to a plug when convenient. Power cable assemblies are electrical cables that are pre-terminated with a plug or socket connector. Power cable assemblies can be terminated with connectors on both ends of the cable, or just one. Depending on the application, there are various types to suit a wide range of requirements.

This power cord is terminated with a fully moulded IEC C13 plug which is used to connect the cable to an appliance which has an IEC C14 inlet. C13 and C14 connectors have 3 pins, a rated current of 10 A and a maximum temperature rating of 70°C, and is sometimes referred to as ’cold connectors’. IEC connectors conform to IEC-60320 specifications laid down by the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) to ensure the connector meets common global design standards
