ABB S200 Series Miniature Circuit Breaker, 20A Current, 400V ac Rated Voltage - 2CDS253103R0201

This miniature circuit breaker provides overcurrent protection for three-phase systems with a NEUTRAL conductor in installations. It combines thermal and electromechanical tripping to respond to prolonged overloads and sudden surges while being suitable for rail-mounted distribution panels. The device is intended for installations requiring co-ordinated protection up to medium fault levels and for switching operations using a manual toggle.

Features and Benefits:

• 6kA breaking capacity limits fault energy exposure
• Type D tripping handles high inrush currents
• 20A rating supports moderate circuit loads
• Screw terminals ensure secure conductor connections
• DIN-rail mounting enables fast panel installation

Applications

• Suitable for motor start-up circuits with high inrush
• Ideal for small distribution boards in workshops
• Used with three-phase lighting and heating circuits
• Can be used for protection in modular control panels
• Suitable for AC and DC hybrid circuit arrangements

What forms of tripping does it employ?

It combines thermal elements for overloads and an electromechanical magnetic release for short-circuit clearing.

How is it installed into distribution equipment?

It clips onto a standard DIN rail and connects via screw-type line and load terminals.

What environmental enclosure protection does it provide?

The device body has IP40 protection at the front and IP20 for access to live parts.

What voltage systems can it be used on?

It is rated for use up to 400V AC and up to 100V DC.

How many poles are present and what configuration is provided?

It is supplied as a three-pole unit with an integrated NEUTRAL conductor (3+N).
