The Renesas Electronics are Bi CMOS 3.3V powered, single transceiver that meet both the RS-485 and RS-422 standard for balanced communication. these device have very low bus current and this allows up to 256 transceiver on the network without violating the RS-485 specification ,32 unit load maximum and without using repeater. It configured as full duplex (separate Rx input and Tx output pins) application. The half duplex version multiplex the Rx input and Tx output to allow transceiver with output disable function.

RS-485 I/O pin ESD protection

Fractional unit load allows up to 256 devices on the bus

Specified for 10% tolerance supplies

High data rate version

Slew rate limited versions for error free data transmission

30ns propagation delay

Operate from a single +5V supply (10% tolerance)

Current limiting and thermal shutdown for driver overload
