The 14CE series of limit switches from Honeywell form part of their miniature limit switches range. This series is compact, precise and highly versatile. • 14CE limit switches are ideal for applications with limited space. They have a compact design and feature 25 mm mounting centres. The mounting holes for screwing the limit switch into place are counter-bored. This means that the screw heads fit within the housing of the unit, and no additional real estate is required when mounting the switch.
• Installation of 14CE limit switches is quick and easy. Each unit only requires two M5 screws for mounting. Pre-leaded cables and M12 connectors also help to minimise installation time.
• This series offers a great deal of design flexibility. You can choose the most appropriate cable length and whether the cable or connector exits the unit at the side or bottom. These switches are supplied with an M12 four-pin connector or are pre-leaded with Cenelec cable.
• Utilising the gang mounting capability, you can build your own multiple plunger switch using models with a pin plunger or roller plunger.
• 14CE limit switches are constructed with diecast zinc housing. Each unit within the 14CE series incorporates a fluorocarbon sealing diaphragm that offers protection and enhances reliability. An epoxy sealant has also been used to encapsulate the cable, connector and switch. Enclosures that meet the NEMA 6P requirement also offer protection against water when being submerged at a limited depth.
Type 13: Enclosures that meet Type 13 are suited to harsh environments. Enclosures can be used indoors and provide protection against access to hazardous parts. They offer protection against solid objects such as falling dirt, windblown dirt, fibres and lint. They provide a level of protection from dripping and splashing water and other liquids such as the splashing, seepage and spraying of oil and non-corrosive coolants.

14CE limit switches are not emergency stop devices or safety devices. They must not be used in devices, applications and environments where injury can incur as a result of product failure.

14CE2-3 is a single pole double throw (SPDT) snap action limit switch. It has one nomally closed (NC) and one normally open (NO) contact. This model features a parallel top roller plunger and has a 3m Cenelec cable fitted.

This limit switch features operating force of 11.8 N. It has pretravel of 1.8 mm and the ability to overtravel by 3 mm.
