StarTech Ethernet Cable, 2.5m Cable Length, Black Jacket - N6PAT250CMBKS

This slim Cat6 LSZH Ethernet cable provides a high-density network connection for Gigabit and PoE deployments. It combines a Low Smoke Zero Halogen jacket with 4-pair stranded copper conductors to support data distribution in confined or poorly ventilated spaces. The cable is designed for use where reduced diameter and flexible routing are required while maintaining Category6 transmission up to 250MHz.

Features and Benefits:

• Supports 10 Gbps speeds and 100W PoE++ delivery
• Uses 28 AWG stranded copper for reduced resistance
• 50-micron gold-plated RJ45 contacts reduce contact wear
• Snagless RJ45 connectors protect clips during installation
• LSZH jacket lowers toxic emission under fire conditions

Applications

• Suitable for high-density data centre patching
• Ideal for routing in network racks and patch panels
• Used with PoE switches and boardroom cameras
• Can be used in self-contained transport environments

What conductor material is used and why is it chosen?

It uses Pure bare copper conductors to provide improved conductivity and lower electrical resistance.

How is cable conformity verified for Cat6 performance?

Each cable is individually tested with a Fluke DSX2-8000 CableAnalyser to meet ANSI/TIA-568.2-D Category6 specifications.

What temperature range can the cable withstand during operation?

The cable is specified for a minimum operating temperature of +10°C and a maximum operating temperature of +80°C.

What is the cable outer diameter and how does that affect installation?

The cable has a 3.6mm outside diameter which reduces bulk and eases routing in crowded installations.

Is the cable screened or unscreened and how many cores does it have?

It is an unscreened 4-core unshielded twisted pair construction.
