StarTech Ethernet Cable, 3M Cable Length, 24AWG Conductor Size - N6LPATCH3MGR

This ethernet cable is a Cat6 LSZH patch lead designed for wired network connections in professional environments. It provides multi-gigabit data support and PoE capability while using a low smoke zero halogen jacket to reduce toxic fumes and improve visibility during a fire. The cable is unscreened with stranded copper conductors and a snagless RJ45 configuration to ease installation in confined routing pathways.

Features and Benefits:

• 10Gbps support up to 55m enabling high-speed data transfer
• 250MHz bandwidth for increased network throughput
• 100W PoE capability allowing sustained power delivery
• 24AWG stranded copper minimises insertion loss and heat
• 6mm outer diameter for flexible cable routing

Applications

• Suitable for connecting servers to switches in racks
• Ideal for PoE devices such as IP cameras and VoIP phones
• Used with NAS and NICs for multi-gigabit storage access
• Can be used for workstation patching in office environments

What material is used for the conductor and why is it important?

The cable uses 100% copper stranded conductors which maintain lower DC resistance and improve power delivery for PoE applications.

How does the jacket material affect installation safety?

The LSZH jacket emits less smoke and corrosive gases in a fire, improving evacuation visibility and reducing equipment corrosion.

Is the cable suitable for environments with electromagnetic interference?

The cable is unshielded U/UTP so it is intended for typical office or data-centre environments where external EMI is controlled.

What connector protection is provided for repeated routing through cableways?

The snagless boot and moulded strain relief protect the RJ45 clip and reduce damage when pulling through conduits.
