Series 84 Low Profile Emergency Stop Switch

The range of 84 was introduced to satisfy demands of both equipment builders and users. Typical usage covers the following areas: machinery and process control equipment, including production lines, cranes, robots, moving platforms, as well as security systems and emergency exists.
Within the many different colours, the lenses are available either in plastic or anodised aluminium.
To meet modern assembly standards, this range is connected to PCBs.
The Series 84 of Low Profile Emergency Stop Swathes are useful for small control panels. If space is at a premium, Series 84 can be easily used as they are portable and compactable. A yellow protection guard is available to stop accidental activation.
The Series 84 pushbuttons are suited to a range of industrial applications and guarantee reliable switching even of every light loads.
The range requires no additional assembly because of its ’monoblock’design.
The double-break switching system can be supplied for the following switching functions:
•1 NC, 2 NC, 1 NC + 1 NO

Frequently asked questions & answers

What is the mechanical life of usage?

These items are not to be used on a daily basis, only in case of an emergency and are designed to be used up to 6050 cycles.

What is the different between a push button switch for an emergency stop and a general-purpose push button switch?

A general-purpose push button switch is used for controls, e.g. to start machine operation or simply to switch modes. An emergency stop push button switch however, is mainly used as a safety measure to stop hazardous events.

Where can I mount this push button?

You can mount this push button on a panel measuring 1 to 4mm thick. Its 22.5mm cutout size and minimal behind-panel depth mean it won't take up much space in your setup.
