Why should I use the 3M medium wall adhesive lined heatshrink MDT – A Series?
This medium wall adhesive lined heatshrink tubing has good chemical resistance, flame retardant and is self-extinguishing. The adhesive lining allows it form a seal against moisture and other fluids allowing it to be adaptable to various applications.

What does a heatshrink ratio of 3:1 mean?
A ratio of 3:1 means when the tube is heated it shrinks to a third of its original diameter.

How can I shrink the tubing?
A heat gun or a heat shrink oven are ideal ways to shrink your tubing. Before heating always check to ensure you know the correct heating temperature of your tubing.

Remember to ensure all health and safety precautions have been taken prior to using a heating devise.

When you need insulation that stays cool under pressure, this heat shrink tubing from 3M has you covered. It's lined with a specially designed adhesive, so latches onto cables while locking out moisture. As it's also chemical resistant, contaminants are held at bay. This makes the tubing a great fit for underground cable joints and bundled electrical components. Once heated, the sleeve diameter reduces from 12mm to approximately 3mm to give a super-tight, shrink-wrap fit.
