DS1820/1822/1825 1-Wire Digital Thermometer & Thermostat

The DS1820/1822/1825 devices are temperature-to-digital converters with over/under-temperature detection. They feature a 1-Wire communication interface and powered from that data line. Applications include PCs, mobile phones, office equipment and data loggers.

Conversion Time (Max): 93.75 ms (9-bit), 750 ms (12-bit)
Unique 64-bit serial code stored in on-chip ROM
Power supply: +3.0 V to +5.5 VDC or from data line

The Maxim DS18B20 is a digital thermometer within a 3-pin TO-92 package. This device integrates both the temperature sensor and EEPROM into one package, saving space on your PCB.
The DS18B20 utilises 1-Wire® technology, meaning it only requires one data line for communication with a microprocessor, plus the ground (GND). It also offers “parasite power” mode, meaning it takes power directly from this data line, so you don’t need an extra power supply. Not only that, you can add as many DS18B20 devices to a single microprocessor through the same 1-Wire bus. Each DS18B20 device features a unique 64-bit serial code on board to help this.

Alarm function:
The DS18B20 offers flexibility with a non-volatile upper and lower trigger point on the alarm function. It is able to identify each device with temperatures outside of your chosen limits.

What temperatures can the DS18B20 measure?
The DS18B20 measures temperatures from -55°C to +125°C. It has a programmable resolution from 9 to 12 Bits.
