Looking for a sensor to detect objects? Try this background suppression block-type sensor from RS PRO. It can detect objects in close proximity to one another without detecting the background material and precisely controls the sensing range for greater accuracy.


The sensor is tough and resistant to abrasion as the housing is made of polycarbonate (PC) and acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) material. This makes it suitable for installation in demanding industrial environments. It also has an Ingress Protection (IP) rating of IP67, so it's protected against dust and short-term submersion in water.


As the transmitter and receiver are contained in a single housing, it's easy to mount. The visible red light also helps you to align the sensor. Its quick response time and adjustable sensitivity make it suitable for a range of applications.
