The TE Connectivity Universal MATE-N-LOK connectors secured with terminal position assurance. Terminal position assurance devices have become a standard solution to provide more reliable connections in applications ranging from home appliances to industrial machinery. These inexpensive accessories allow customers to save cost on rework by assuring the terminal is fully seated and cannot backout. The popular Universal MATE-N-LOK connectors predate TPA use, but customers are increasingly requesting TPAs for their existing MATE-N-LOK connector systems. To meet this demand, TE Connectivity has developed TPAs for legacy Universal MATE-N-LOK products, allowing our customers to realize TPA benefits without qualification of a new connector.
