Overview
The Absolute Encoder ATM60 is offered in a multiturn version with a maximum resolution of 13 bits by 13 bits (8,192 x 8,192). It features a solid shaft with a face mount flange measuring 10 mm x 19 mm. The communication interface is Device Net and is programmable. For connectivity, it utilizes a bus adapter for Device Net. Programming can be done through the PLC-Engineering-Tool interface. The absolute multiturn encoder from SICK reliably delivers position information with a resolution of up to 26 bits, even in harsh ambient conditions. This field-proven product family is based on a magnetic measurement principle. The 13-bit single turn area is scanned by a sensor using permanent magnetic elements.
The 13-bit multiturn area incorporates a magnetic reduction gear. Equipped with a zero set pushbutton, the encoder can be conveniently reset to zero or a user-programmed value on-site. With magnetic scanning, a rugged housing compliant with enclosure rating IP67, and high shock and vibration resistance, the ATM60 SSI is ideally suited for use in harsh conditions.
