RS PRO Earth Clamp Brass, 3 to 35 mm² Wire Range
Earth your metal installations easily with the RS PRO earth clamp. Also known as a grounding strap, this component provides an outlet for excess current if there's a fault in the system, allowing it to flow into the earth for safety. It's used in both domestic and commercial settings.
Designed to be fitted easily, you won't need to drill or dismantle your equipment. The clamp provides a permanent earth connection, but the wire is still removable. It's suitable for flange thicknesses ranging from 3 mm² to 12.5 mm². The integral metal clamp accepts conductors up to 35 mm².
This component helps installations to meet section 601-04-02 of the BS7671, IEE regulations for safety and quality. Each brass clamp is supplied with metal safety labels. It's RoHS compliant for minimal use of hazardous materials. For shear bolt connections, an 8 mm ratchet tool, stock no. 426-3148, is available.
