It's a primary-switching device that takes AC (alternating current) and converts it to a regulated output of 48V DC (direct current), to safely power machinery. It takes input voltages between 85 and 264V AC to maximise flexibility and features a static power reserve to reliably start difficult loads.

LEDs (light-emitting diodes) signal when the output voltage and power boost are actively working, to give you clear and simple signalling. SFB (selective fuse breaking) technology provides preventive function monitoring and quick tripping of breakers to protect machines from voltage errors and short circuits. Loads are connected in parallel, to isolate problems and keep your power supply working. These innovative features make the unit more than 93% efficient and give it an expected lifespan of 500,000 hours, minimising your maintenance downtime. How do I wire a DIN rail power supply?

The QUINTPOWER power supply unit's feature terminal blocks on both the top & bottom of the unit. You'll need to strip 7mm length from your cable and insert it into the terminal blocks. A simple screw connection (M4 screw) will then lock your cable into the terminal block, providing an output or input connection. However, please follow all manafactuer installation instructions.

What are DIN-rail power supplies used for?

Typically these power supplies are mounted into cabinets and are used in industrial circumstances. They can be used for automation, machinery or any project that has modules that are mounted on DIN-rails.
