An ohmmeter is a type of meter used in the measurement of electrical resistance and continuity of an electrical circuit and components and are available in a range of sizes, voltages and types, each with varying levels of accuracy. Ohmmeters (or ohm meters) are available in three main variations including micro-ohmmeter (for measuring low resistance), standard ohmmeters for general purpose and meg-ohmmeter (for measuring high resistance), all of which measure electrical resistance in ohms.
