    Clamping Knobs

    Clamping knobs are components that are used for clamping, adjusting, turning and tightening. Clamping knobs also known as hand knobs are designed to give the user extra grip and control. The knobs are used in a wide range of industrial environments and applications.

    What are the different styles?

    Clamping knobs are available in various shapes and styles for machinery and assemblies. Some of the most common are

    • Ball

    Are round and are used for up-down and left to right directional movement. They are also used for pulling, tightening. Ball knobs are ideal for control levers and handles. Ball knobs have female internal threads in various sizes that are attached to a threaded stud or shaft.

    • Wing

    Wing knobs are a simple style of knob with a wing-shaped head. Ergonomically designed they are ideal for both high torque applications as well as fingertip control and low adjustment tightening. 

    • Multiple Lobe

    Multiple lobe knobs, often called star knobs are designed for applications that require a secure grip. Their unique shape allows a firm grasp and is ideal for adjusting, turning and clamping applications.

    • Knurled

    Knurled rim knobs have a ridged outer edge and are perfect for a non-slip firm grip. Knurled knobs are generally used in applications where an operator may be in contact with wet or damp environments.
