In addition to having an outstanding thermal range, the tape has an earth screen braid to protect the conductor from any electrostatic interference. Available in 50-metre lengths, it has an output per metre of 40 W. You'll find one-metre intervals on the outer sheath that have been marked to indicate cutting points. The cable has operating temperatures from -60˚C to +200˚C and comes in a durable silicone rubber sheath.
This parallel circuit heating tape has been tested against international standards (BS EN 62395-1:2006) for electrical resistance trace heating systems. While you can use the tape for indoor and outdoor installations, such as mains and supply piping, it's unsuitable for hazardous areas.
