Eaton British Standard Fuse, A4 Size, 100A TCP100
This Eaton British Standard fuse protects your electrical equipment and motors from short circuits and current overloads. The bolted metal tags on either end of the cylindrical body fasten to a circuit and conduct power through the fuse. If the current continuously exceeds the maximum capacity then the metal strip inside the fuse melts and the circuit is physically broken. This is a reliable, material-based way to break your circuit without having to rely on a digital circuit breaker. General-purpose (gG) and dual motor rating (gM) motor-protection devices commonly use this type of fuse.
Features & Benefits
100A (amperes) maximum current capacity for dependable use with large low-voltage currents
80kA (kiloamperes) breaking capacity ensures breaking the current is safe and wont destroy your equipment or cause fire or shock hazards
Low power dissipation ensures circuit power is maintained through the fuse
80kA (kiloamperes) breaking capacity ensures breaking the current is safe and wont destroy your equipment or cause fire or shock hazards
Low power dissipation ensures circuit power is maintained through the fuse
How fast will the fuse stop the current after overload?
The T-speed fuse has a slow-burning speed, so it allows for some over-voltage but breaks when the level becomes critical. It has a high-rupturing capacity (HRC), which ensures the circuit is not just going through a momentary spike or needs to be turned off, helping to avoid unnecessary current interruptions.
