Maxim DS3231M Real Time Clock

Maxim DS3231M Is a very accurate, low cost real time clock (RTC) This RTC features a battery input so if there is an issue with the mains power the battery will ensure that the time is still kept accurate. The MEMS (microelectromechanical systems) resonator enhances the long term accuracy of this device. The RTC maintains seconds, minutes, hours, day, date, month, and year information. The date at the end of the month is automatically adjusted for months with fewer than 31 days, including corrections for leap year. The RTC can also operate on a 12 or 24 hr setting which features a am and pm indicator. There are 2 programmable time of day alarms and a 1Hz output is provided. precision temperature-compensated voltage reference and comparator circuit monitors the status of VCC to detect power failures, to provide a reset output, and to automatically switch to the backup supply when necessary.
