RS PRO Fork / Slot Through Beam Photoelectric Sensor U Shape Fixed 5 mm Detection
The Through Beam reflection photelectric sensor from RS PRO includes excellent performance providing you with a fixed sensing distance of 5 mm. The photoelectric sensor has a U fork or slot shape design where objects pass through the slot or between the U Fork which uses through-beam photoelectric technology to detect the objects. The transmitter, and receiver designed so that with the slot sensor they face each other but will only work with objects that can pas between the transmitter and receiver. The wealth of features with the sensor includes infrared light source, fixed distance detection, anti-interference, high optical resolution, easy alignment, NPN selectable, LED display allowing you to check the sensors operation all providing complete short circuit, overload, reverse polarity protection, flexible and easy to use emitter and receiver.

What is the Through-Beam Photoelectric Sensor
This sensor is made up of a light emitter and a light receiver, the detection distance can be increased by separating the light emitter and receiver. When using the through-beam sensor the emitted and receiver are installed either side of the of the path of objects to be detected. When the object passes through the light beam the light is blocked by the object and the light receiving device acts to output a switch control signal.
