RS PRO On/Off analogue temperature controllers are ideal temperature control solutions for applications that require temperatures to be maintained. The compact device can be easily installed via panel mounting, providing a high quality and reliable temperature control system that is easy to use. The adjustable temperature offset and on/off feature of the temperature controller ensures the device will switch on or off automatically to reach the setpoint temperature or prevent it from exceeding. The front panel features a simple and easy to use design including LED lights to indicate when the controller is on or off, along with a set value adjustment potentiometer to adjust the set value quickly and efficiently.

On/Off temperature controllers are designed to control and maintain temperatures in appliances by turning on or off, depending on the users required pre-set temperature. If the temperature drops below the setpoint, the controller will turn on and increase the temperature until it is met. Once the desired temperature is reached, the device output switches off automatically. Why use an On/Off Temperature Controller?

Used for monitoring purposes in heating environments, on-off temperature controllers prevent rapid increases in temperature that could cause damage. These controllers are often used where there isn't a need for precision temperature control, but where a system is unable to handle continuous interruptions. A typical example of an on-off controller is a thermostat in a system, if the temperature drops below the pre-set level the system is switched on. They can protect against a system over-heating or over-cooling and have an 'on' 'off' option with no middle state.
