SH-3 Series horizontal float switches from Cynergy 3 feature a pivoted float arm. Different switching options are available by using either a reed switch or a microswitch. The SH-3 float switches are made with an aluminium enclosure with a screw lid and cable gland.

A horizontal float switch has a hinged float attached to its housing that rises and falls as liquid levels change. When the liquid reaches a certain predetermined level, the float closes or opens the circuit to prevent underfilling or overfilling.
