RS Pro H03VVH2-F Flexible PVC Insulated Mains Cable

From RS Pro a high-quality light duty H03VVH2-F twin flat flexible mains power cable with PVC insulation and a PVC jacket. This mains cable has a voltage rating of 300/300 V and is designed for use indoors for wiring in mobile and lightweight household and office applications

What is Mains Cable?

A mains power cable connects an appliance to a mains electricity supply through the use of a wall socket or an extension lead which will then be plugged into a mains supply

Cable Construction

This flexible power cable consists of 2 cores made up of IEC 60228 Class 5 stranded copper conductors or wires. These two cores are adjacent to one another which gives the cable its flat or ovular shape. Each individual core is surrounded by colour coded PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) insulation for easy identification of the wires. Both the cores are then surrounded by a final outer layer of PVC called a sheath or jacket.

What Does H03VVH2-F Mean?

H03VVH2-F cable (also known as 2192Y cable) is a type of harmonised (or HAR) cable which means it belongs to the Harmonised reference system and conforms to the European Harmonisation Standard. This purpose of this standard is to improve standards and quality of cables across Europe to ensure the trade of a common standard product.

H03VVH2-F is the code for this harmonised cable which breaks down into the following:

• H = Harmonized
• 03 = 300 / 300 voltage rating
• V = PVC insulation
• V = PVC sheath

Where are These Cables Used?
