Analog Devices Analogue Multiplier & Divider

The Analog Devices through-hole mount 4-quadrant analogue multiplier and the divider is offered in low-cost 8-lead PDIP packages. The monolithic construction and laser calibration make this device stable and reliable and high input resistances make signal source loading negligible. The internal scaling voltage is generated by a stable Zener diode.

Features and Benefits

• Differential high impedance X and Y inputs high impedance
• Laser-trimmed 10V scaling reference
• Maximum operating frequency is 1MHz
• Maximum supply current of 6mA
• Multiplier accuracy is supply insensitive
• No external components required
• Operating temperature ranges between -40°C and 85°C
• Power supply voltage ranges between ±8V and ±18V
• Single ended output
• Total error within 2% of full scale
• Unity-gain summing input

Applications

• Division
• Modulation/Demodulation
• Multiplication
• Phase detection
• Squaring
• Voltage-controlled amplifiers/Attenuators/Filters
