Evaluation Board for AD8331 Variable Gain Amplifier with Preamplifier

Evaluation board providing a platform for test and evaluation of the AD8331 ultra low noise, linear-in-dB, variable gain amplifier (VGA). Optimized for ultrasound systems, it is usable as a low noise variable gain element at frequencies up to 120MHz.

Includes an ultra-low noise pre-amp, an X-AMP® VGA with 48 dB of gain range and a selectable gain post-amp with adjustable output limiting
Requires + 5V power supply

Variable-Gain or Voltage-Controlled Amplifiers are electronic differential amplifiers that vary their gain depending on a control voltage. Applications include audio level compression, synthesizers and amplitude modulation.
