Megger VF3 Non-Contact Voltage Detector
The Megger VF3 voltage detector resembles a small pen like instrument. It is used to identify the presence of live AC voltages of socket outlets, switches, circuit breakers, fuses, luminaries, wires and cables ranging from 60V to 90V at 50Hz or 60Hz. Detection of voltage is done capacitively. The bright red LED situated on the tip of white nylon illuminates when signalled by VF3. The VF3 has an additional feature of an audible warning device operated simultaneously with the red LED. The use of bright white LED extends the battery life.
